At the end of the 2nd world war, Saint-Lô was known as “the capital of ruins”. This postcard shows the train station, cinema (red) and river Vire, the ancient castle, le Harass national, and the remains of the Notre-Dame de Saint-Lô.
Thanks Jūrgen (it sounds like finding a postcard was difficult!)
This cave has pictures from people who lived 35,000 years ago! There are even pictures of woolly mammoth and sabre-tooth tigers.
Thanks Uncle Graham and Katie.
Another postcard from Paris. On this one you can see the Pont Alexandre III (which is a bridge) and the Eiffel Tower.
Thank you Mathilde(?) and Fabien
Another city in France. I want to visit to try the buckwheat pancakes and delicious ice cream!
Thank you Pierre-Louis (especially for writing in French and English).
